ADMIRALTY Gateway Retirement

After a considerable amount of market analysis, the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) has announced all versions of ADMIRALTY Gateway will be retired on 29th January 2021 in a phased sunsetting of the products.

The decision comes following a review of back-of-bridge solutions and an extensive period of engagement, consultation and feedback with ADMIRALTY Chart Agents, users and UKHO partners. In advance of the retirement date, we are offering customers UKHOs alternative e-Navigation software solution e-Reader v1.4.

The new version of the e-Reader software, version 1.4 retains the same functionalities as v1.3 but with improved performance and user experience.

Users can access the new software via the Admiralty FTP site at
ftp://ukho.gov.uk. You can also download the v1.4 directly from the Week 41/20 ADP and AENP DVD.

We therefore advise all users that are presently using ADMIRALTY Gateway to download the e-Reader software and uninstall their Gateway program before the retirement of 29th January 2021 as the program will cease to update and enable users to use the software.

Once Gateway has been uninstalled from your computers please email sales support at sales@southbankmarine.com so that user licences can be created for the e-Reader software and emailed across to you.
